Khảo sát điều kiện chiết xuất đồng thời alcaloid và flavonoid toàn phần trong lá đu đủ (Carica papaya L., Caricaceae)

Papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) have several pharmacological activities, such as anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, etc. The aim of this study is to investigate some conditions for simultaneous extraction of total alkaloids and flavonoids in papaya leaves. The crude extracts were prepared by extracting the Carica papaya leaves with different ethanol solvents (50%, 70% and 90% ethanol). Two extraction procedures for simultaneous total alkaloid and total flavonoid with the same extraction solvents including n-hexane, chloroform and ethyl acetate were compared. The optimal extraction procedures were determined using thin layer chromatography and based on extraction efficiency. Results showed that 70% ethanol is the best solvent for crude extraction. Moreover, the first alcaloid fraction in chloroform contained more amount of alcaloid and helped to remove polarized impurities in the flavonoid fraction later. In conclusion, a simultaneous extraction of alkaloid and flavonoids from Papaya leaves has been developed and optimized in this study.
