Khảo sát độc tính cấp và tác động chống rối loạn lipid huyết cấp trên chuột nhắt của viên nang cứng Savitim

The Savitim capsules for hyperlipidemia prepared from Folium Nelumbinis nuciferae, Rhizoma Curcumae longae, Flos Styphnolobii japonici immaturus, Rhizoma et Radix Panacis vietnamensis were evaluated for oral toxicity and lipidlowering effect in vivo in mice. Experimentaly, no mortality was observed, and neither signs of toxicity were recorded within 14 days after administrating a single maximum oral dose of 50 g/kg b.w. At both tested doses of 400 mg/kg and 800 mg/kg, Savitim capsules exhibited hypolipidemic effect in mice with tyloxapol-induced hyperlipidemia. The LDLcholesterol level decreased remarkably and the HDL-cholesterol level increased significantly in the group treated with 400 mg/kg of Savitim in comparison with the control untreated group of mice. In conculusion, triglycerid-lowering and HDL cholesterol-increasing effects of the Savitim capsules at 400 mg/kg dose were similar to the refrenence fenofibrate at the dose of 50 mg/kg.
