Nghiên cứu chiết xuất, phân lập và tinh chế canthin-6-on từ rễ cây bá bệnh (Eurycoma longifolia Jack) để thiết lập chất chuẩn

Canthin-6-one, known as a natural alkaloid of various valuable biological activities such as antitumor, antimicrobial, antifungal, … was isolated from the roots of Eurycoma longifolia (Jack.) and further purified for establishment of its reference standard. The plant roots were extracted with methanol. And then, from the obtained ethanol extracts, crude alkaloid (ELA) extracts were obtained by acid-base extraction. Canthin-6-one was isolated from ELA by column chromatography and further purified by semipreparative HPLC. The purity of the isolated compound proved to be 99.10% by HPLC. Its structure was confirmed by MS and NMR. Besides, an HPLC procedure was established for quantitative dertermination of canthin-6-one in Eurycoma longifolia materials.
