Nghiên cứu độc tính cấp và tác dụng hạ glucose huyết của cao chiết lan kim tuyến trên mô hình chuột đái tháo đường típ 2

Anoectochilus formosanus Hayata extract was evaluated for acute toxicity in mice and for antidiabetic activity in streptozotocin-induced type 2 diabetic mice. In the acute toxicity study (72 hours), Anoectochilus formosanus Hayata extract was considered to be non-toxic with the oral LD 0 20.5 g/kg body weight. Experimental diabetes was induced by a single intravenous injection (i.v) of 120 mg/kg streptozotocin. At the end of the study period, the pathological group had significantly higher blood glucose level than control group. Additionally, Gliclazid and Anoectochilus formosanus Hayata extract 0.5 g/kg body weight – treatment group showed significantly lower level of blood glucose than the pathological group. On the blood lipids index, diabetic control group and Anoectochilus formosanus Hayata extract 0.5 g/kg body weight showed the reducing triglycerides effect significantly compared to the pathological group.
