TÓM TẮT

Alpinia coriandriodora D. Fang. and Alpinia tonkinensis Gagnep, two species named “Gừng đá” in Bac Kan province, has been attached importance to develop the economy and community in Bac Kan province. Chemical compositions of their rhizomes were analyzed using chemical reaction and thin layer chromatography (TLC). The presents of flavonoids, tannins, essential oils, acid amines, polysaccharide, and carotene were resulted. Their essential oil constituents were further studied using Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and TLC. Research on biological activity of their rhizome methanol extracts indicated that both of them showed inhibition effects against B. subtilis, B. pumilus, B. cereus, S. aureus. Furthermore, antioxidant activities of the extracts were evaluated with the value of SC50 were 42.62; 15.48 µg/ml, respectively.
