Summary

From the cheap materials as salicylic acid, salicylamid, hydrazinobenzoic acid…, deferasirox –an oral iron chelator was obtained. Its main use is to reduce chronic iron overload in patients who are receiving long-term blood transfusions for conditions such as beta-thalassemia and other chronic anemias drug.
The process synthesis for deferasirox are optimized. Therefore, it is stable, simple and suitable for Vietnam’s conditions. The purity and structure of product are controlled by thin layer chromatography and other methods as UV, IR, MS, NMR…
