Summary

For evaluating the biological activity of Monocarbonyl Analogues of Curcumin (MACs) containing 1H-pyrazole heterocyclic, six asymmetric MACs (CUR.1 – CUR.6) and four symmetric MACs (CUR.7 – CUR.10) were synthesized from corresponding intermediates A (A.1 and A.3, 1H-pyrazol-4-carbaldehyde derivatives), intermediates B (B.1 – B.6, 4-phenylbut-3-en-2-one derivatives) and symmetric ketones. Their identification was structurally confirmed by melting point, thin layer chromatography, IR, MS, ¹H-NMR and ¹³C-NMR.
